A Misasagi is a Japanese Imperial Tomb. Of the 125 Emperors, 69 are buried in Kyoto. The largest grouping is at Sennyu-ji, a large temple complex, where there are 14 in an Imperial Mausoleum and 2 in tombs in other parts of the temple. The other large grouping is near the Keihan railways Fujinomori station where there are 10 Emperor's tombs..

The rest of the Emperor's tombs are scattered throughout Kyoto. I have visited and photographed 10 of those Misasagi. Japanese Emperors are numbered for convenience in cataloging.
